The Hotel Traiano
is perfectly located, if a little intimate. The staff are friendly
and helpful and the food is ok, though I would recommend making
the most of what the local area has to offer in terms of restaurants
and trattorias. I would recommend this hotel to young couples looking
to make the most of a short stay in Rome. We visited the Vatican
(the hotel staff put us on a tour), the Colosseum and walked for
hours in the historical centre, never taking public transport once.
The room was a bit small but it was clean and quiet, and that’s
what counted for us.

A charming little hotel right
next to Venice Square in the most beautiful part of central Rome.
The only bad thing was that our double bed had two single mattresses
instead of one double. Everything was clean, the place looked beautiful
and the service was cordial and professional. Tip: Don’t take taxis in Rome, they see you coming. The hotel
is a 10 minute walk from the Colosseum metro even with suitcases.
I’d stay here again, especially if I could get the same deal
as before.

My stay at the Hotel Traiano was a
very enjoyable and pleasurable one. Its central location provided
me with the perfect base to wander around Rome at my leisure. The
fact that the hotel is so close to the forum and the colosseum really
made a difference. The hotel staff were friendly and very, very helpful.
All in all, if I ever return to Rome, which I definitely hope to,
I will be staying in this hotel again.
